Disrespectful behaviours in preparation of and during a THIMUN conference should be addressed by attendees directly or through their faculty advisor, head committee chair or one of the executive student officers. Instances of undiplomatic behaviour, bullying, harassment, or discrimination may be called to the attention of THIMUN Staff and Board of Directors. Anyone who believes they have seen or encountered undiplomatic behaviour, bullying, harassment, or discrimination should bring it to the attention of the THIMUN Foundation’s Board or Staff. The allegations will be investigated, and a response will follow. Consequences may include issuing a verbal reprimand, expelling violators from the conference without compensation, barring violators from future THIMUN involvement, as well as barring their respective schools from future THIMUN involvement. The THIMUN Foundation has the right to take these or any other actions deemed appropriate in order to ensure the safe participation of all students and to uphold the values and ethos of THIMUN.

Rules of Conduct

It is assumed by virtue of the fact that participants are here for a serious programme that they are mature enough to respect others and to provide a framework within which all MUN participants can operate, with each action in good taste and appropriate to the primary purpose of their being here. Failure to follow these simple guidelines may result in participants being sent home at their own expense and schools not being invited to future sessions.

Alcoholic Beverages and Narcotic Drugs
Alcoholic Beverages may not be consumed at any time during the conference. The legal age for alcohol consumption in The Netherlands has been set at 18. The use of any form of narcotic drug is expressly prohibited.

Students Staying in Hotels and Hostels
Students staying in Hotels and Hostels are reminded that they have a great deal of responsibility towards their hosts as well as towards their fellow residents. Special financial arrangements have been made for your benefit. Your cooperation is needed to ensure the on-going success of this programme.

Curfew
Since MUN sessions are very long and tiring and also out of consideration for housing families and fellow hotel guests, a curfew of 23:00 is recommended from Monday to Thursday.

FIRST AID: At all times during the conference we have First Aid available located on the First Floor in front of the World Forum Theatre, near entrance door 6.

In case of an emergency, evacuation, medical or other, please inform the World Forum staff at the reception desk of the World Forum immediately and state clearly the situation and location, and follow the instructions of the crew, police or fire brigade.
